১৫৭৫ – মুঘল সম্রাট আকবরের বাহিনী তুকারয়ের যুদ্ধে বাংলার বাহিনীকে পরাজিত করে।
১৭০৭ – মুঘল সম্রাট আওরঙ্গজেবের মৃত্যু হয় এবং তার পুত্র যুবরাজ মুয়াজ্জম সিংহাসনে আরোহণ করে বাহাদুর শাহ (প্রথম) নাম গ্রহণ করেন।
১৮৬১ – রাশিয়ায় ভূমিদাস প্রথা বিলুপ্ত করা হয়।
১৮৭৮ – রুশ-তুর্কি যুদ্ধের পর শান্তি চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়।
১৯০৬ – বিপ্লবী সংগঠন অনুশীলন সমিতির মুখপাত্র ‘যুগান্তর’ প্রকাশিত হয়।
১৯২৪ – তুরস্কের জাতীয় পরিষদ কর্তৃক খিলাফত ব্যবস্থা বিলুপ্ত ঘোষণা করা হয়।
১৯৪৯ – ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে নিম্নপদস্থ কর্মচারীরা ধর্মঘট শুরু করেন।
১৯৬৫ – শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দীর বড় ভাই, বিশিষ্ট শিক্ষাবিদ ও শিল্পকলা বিশারদ শাহেদ সোহরাওয়ার্দীর মৃত্যু।
১৯৬৯ – ভারতে প্রথম দ্রুতগামী রাজধানী এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেন (হাওড়া-নতুন দিল্লি) চালু হয়।

১৯৭১ – “আমার সোনার বাংলা, আমি তোমায় ভালোবাসি” গানটিকে বাংলাদেশ রাষ্ট্রের সম্ভাব্য জাতীয় সংগীত হিসেবে ঘোষণা করা হয়।
